Charlotte County Florida is truly fortunate to have a community-wide effort in promoting economic development.  Several key organizations, with the Economic Development Office of Charlotte County serving as staff, work together to improve the business environment.

Enterprise Charlotte is the advisory board to the Board of County Commissioners on economic development issues. This unique public-private partnership is made up of 18 members from government, education, business and community organizations.  

Established in 2001, the mission of Enterprise Charlotte is to:

• Work toward improving the business environment in Charlotte County;
• Retain and encourage the expansion of existing businesses; and
• Attract new and diversified employment to the area.
